FASHION SPOTLIGHT: DUA LIPA

Glamour: 12/26/2021

Dua Lipa is a living embodiment of the celebrity multi-hyphenate: she’s at the top of her game musically (winning her fifth Brit Award earlier this year), is making her acting debut in spy thriller Argylle, and is even launching her own lifestyle platform, Service95.

She’s also pretty much responsible for the Y2K fashion revival that seems to be taking the world (and our Insta feeds) by storm. Whether she’s gracing the red carpet with a momentous, high-voltage gown, or updating her social media with endless carousels of achingly cool designer pieces, Dua’s style is always evolving. And yes, we love to see it.

Lorenzo Posocco, Dua’s long-term stylist and collaborator, told Paper, why he enjoys working with celebrities, saying, “I love fashion editorials but they don’t generally have the same reach and impact of music and celebrities,” adding that “I grew up bingeing on MTV, music videos constantly playing on the telly. I understand first hand the impact they can have on anyone, no matter what country, demographic, background.”

We can all agree that Dua Lipa’s fashion sense has made quite the impact. That’s why GLAMOUR has created a selection of Dua and Lorenzo’s most innovative looks (so far), from her playful street style (think butterfly motifs and green cow prints) to her high-fashion debut on the Versace runway.
